Our conference hotel this year is the beautiful Orlando Marriott Lake Mary, located less than 15 minutes from the Buehler Planetarium and Seminole State College. This three-star hotel has 304 rooms, with a full fitness center, resort pool, and easy access to both Interstate 4 and the S.R. 417 toll road. Wireless internet is completely free throughout the resort and conference area, and a concierge is available throughout the day, as well.

The most impressive feature of the Marriott, however, is the incredible conference space at our disposal. The Marriott boasts over 11,000 square feet of total conference space, and we will be utilizing three breakout salons – A, B, and C – for our workshop and paper sessions. Each room is 620 sq. feet and can hold 50 delegates in a classroom setting. Our vendor hall will reside in the Grand Ballroom, which is an exceptional 6,340 sq. feet with 16-foot ceilings. All rooms have isolated power infrastructures and wired internet capabilities. The Marriott also has two loading areas for vendors, a large foyer for reception and registration, and an additional 1,600 sq. foot ballroom for lunches and SEPA business meetings.
We have locked down a price of $130/night, with single and double occupancy. Each room will include two full buffet tickets for the Bistro 1501 restaurant on the first floor, a $40 value per day! By including these breakfasts, the Marriott has helped to reach our goal of providing every single meal for delegates during the conference. For lunch on Thursday, we’ll sample the Marriott’s award-winning cuisine, some of the best in all of Central Florida according to guests and critics alike.
